No Escape - SRD

No Escape is a roleplaying game which seeks to capture the atmosphere in media such as The Thing, Alien, The Terror and Into the Drowning Deep to mention a few examples. In short,  a crew trying to survive in a hostile environment, complicated by internal struggles over power and resources. A certain amount of paranoia and supernatural and/or alien elements are also present. No Escape combines a push-your-luck mechanism for critical skill checks, whereas narrative events are handled by plot points. There are also some board game elements intended to capture and guide both dynamics between characters and crew, as well as resource management.

This System Reference Document is not a complete game. It is intended to be used together with a scenario setting which details archetypes, archetype moves and similar. Hopefully, the SRD can serve as inspiration for scenario settings and further development of the system. 

And remember - no escape is possible until the third act.
